Spotlight: C&D winner (soft) last October; with new yard this term and some concern about latest start, albeit over 1m2f on heavy and her first run at Chester, but reappearance third at Ayr in July gives her a chance; cheekpieces (worn on last two starts last season) return and she needs a second look.

Spotlight: Won at Newbury (1m2f, soft) last September; 4lb lower today, having come up well short since, but his fourth back at Newbury (good to soft) following wind surgery was a big step back in the right direction; considered.

Spotlight: All wins have come in the spring, mainly on soft ground, but there was no win this time round; has his lowest mark since 2020 but easily his best show this season was in March; usually wears a visor or cheekpieces and now he's blinkered first time.

Spotlight: 2024 campaign ended when he was well beaten on hurdle debut in August; 50-1 and never dangerous at York in June on his only appearance this year, but at least a return to ground softer than good (first time since last April) looks a positive and he is down the weights.

Spotlight: Won the Spring Mile at Doncaster (good to soft; second past the post) in March and he's 6lb lower today, having failed to fire in the same way since; has some form at 1m2f but has rarely tried it in the last 16 months.

Spotlight: Six wins on turf last year and another on AW last October (nearly all under Molly Gunn); the last six of those were over longer trips than this, however, and he was well beaten when he tried front-running last month on his only appearance this year; best watched for now.

Spotlight: Ended his 2yo campaign with a 1m2f nursery win on soft ground one year ago; career has gone forwards again on last two starts with 1m2f wins at Epsom (good) and Doncaster (good to soft); 5lb higher than last time but he may have had more in hand than the margin suggests; player.

Spotlight: 260,000euros yearling; won a novice at Southwell (1m, AW) last December from off the pace in promising fashion; 9-2 but faded into fifth of seven in Newmarket novice (1m2f, good to soft) nearly ten weeks ago on her only other start, showing only slightly improved form but she is seriously unexposed for this handicap debut.

Spotlight: Twice tailed off but improved in his other three races, always prominent when off the mark by a neck in ten-runner handicap at Redcar (1m2f, good to soft) two weeks ago; wore cheekpieces last four starts; up 4lb today but he found more when challenged last time and there may have been more in the tank.

Spotlight: Won at Wolverhampton last month when upped to 9.4f on his only AW start; creditable fourth of 11 to Stormy Monday at Doncaster (good to soft) 12 days later when upped to 1m2f, but he raced freely at and near the front and others prove stronger late on; concern same will happen today.

Spotlight: Fair form in three of his four starts (April-June) but sported a visor then blinkers on last two occasions and now it's cheekpieces, having also been gelded; signs of some concern there from connections but he's a lightly raced handicap newcomer who probably stays 1m2f, which he's bred for.

Spotlight: Won debut (1m, heavy) last October and, although he's had just three races this term, he scored again in nine-runner handicap at Newbury (1m2f, good) six weeks ago; the latter was on the nod with a late challenge, for which he's gone up 4lb but he's a clear candidate for further progress.

Spotlight: Plenty of ability in three qualifying runs (1m/1m2f); fared badly in his first three handicaps but front-running fourth of 14 at Kempton (1m2f, AW) on latest was an upturn; better is still needed.

Spotlight: Won a C&D novice last July and scored emphatically at Windsor (1m2f, soft) one year later; absent 58 days before good second at Yarmouth (11.4f, soft; checked in her run) three weeks ago, which she might be able to build on.
